Residential Development

At Jeffrey Jordan Architects, we are excited to be part of a transformative project that will breathe new life into the former Tysons Antiques Centre on Clark Street in Morecambe. This historic building, which served as an iconic antiques showroom for over 50 years, is set to undergo a major renovation and conversion into 11 residential flats.

Originally built between 1931 and 1937 as a car showroom, the building has fallen into disrepair after its closure in 2022. As part of the planning application, our team has worked closely with the client to create a design that respects the building's history while updating it for modern living. The proposed renovations will repair the roof, restore the exterior walls, and replace old windows with double-glazed uPVC units that match the original aesthetic.

Our goal is to preserve the building’s architectural integrity and enhance its contribution to the local community. The building’s updated appearance, along with the new residential use, will not only improve the area’s visual appeal but also help secure the future of a structure that’s been a part of Morecambe’s history for decades.

This project is a crucial step in Morecambe’s ongoing revival, bringing a piece of the past into the future. We’re proud to be involved in this exciting chapter and look forward to seeing how the restored building will serve the community for years to come. The plans are currently under review by Lancaster City Council, and we hope to see this vision come to life soon.
